FRIENDS FOR SURVIVAL, INC.      

AWARDS - On March 31, 2000, we were honored to be named as a Daily Point of Light by the Points of Light Foundation.  Our Daily Point of Light award winner profile can be viewed at www.pointsoflight.org.  During the same year, we received a 2000 Community Award plaque from the Sacramento Valley Psychological Association recognizing our contributions to psychology and for our many  years of community education, advocacy and leadership in providing community support groups.  Also in the year 2000, our President and co-founder of FFS, Marilyn Koenig, was selected to carry the Olympic torch in the greater Sacramento area in recognition of the unique services provided by FFS.  Finally, in April 1993, FFS received the JC Penney Golden Rule Award in recognition of outstanding volunteer service on behalf of the community.
